Franklin County Registry of Deeds recorded six property transfers in Rowe between July 31 and Aug. 29. Only one deed had a sale price recorded: $15,740 for 5 Pine Hill Drive, sold Aug. 26 by Douglas M. Upton to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, setting both the period's price range and median. The other five transfers, including two same-day Tunnel Road deeds moving property out of the Cowie Investment Trust and into Bruce W. Cowie's name, had no price recorded yet. With five of six deeds lacking sale-price data, the record offers little basis for judging market tone in Rowe this period.
